Introducing COVID-19 Essential Packages from True Care
October 28, 2020True Care is proud to announce the introduction of the COVID-19 Essential Package to their home care operating procedures in an effort to keep both client and caregiver safe through the duration of the pandemic.
The COVID-19 Essential Package is a unique program created by True Care Home Health Care to ensure the safety of our caregivers and clients during this second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. Active home health aides and nurses are given this package along with detailed instructions on how to properly use each item in addition to the personal protective equipment we have provided them each week since the onset of the crisis in New York City.

What’s inside:
-
- A scrub cover-up, to be worn within the client’s home to prevent outside potential germs from contaminating the home.
- A face-shield, as an added safety measure to our home health aides in addition to their work-issued medical-grade face masks.
- An 8 oz bottle of hand sanitizer, to be used wherever soap and water are not available for the protection of both caregiver and client.
- Additional PPE; gloves, masks, and sanitizing wipes as we have provided them each week since the onset of the crisis.
- A protective backpack to keep supplies clean while traveling to and from cases.
Hundreds of our home health aides and nurses have already received their COVID-19 Essential Package and have implemented them into their daily care routine. HHA Rose had this to say the day she received her COVID-19 Essential Package:
"I've been working with True Care for almost seven years now. And [during] this time with the pandemic, I think what they are doing is very nice, because we've been getting our gloves and masks even though we don't request it. I'm so happy for them doing this for us. And secondly, what we got today was very nice. So thank you, True Care, and God bless you!"
True Care knows the importance of health and safety during these most challenging times. We instruct our caregivers to take all the necessary precautions to maintain the health and wellness of our first priority, our clients. We have worked diligently to stay up to date and compliant with all COVID-19 regulations and requirements as they become available from our governing body, the Department of Health. At this time, True Care is meeting and exceeding all State and Federal COVID-19 regulations.
