Our team of highly trained and experienced Caregivers is here to provide care and assistance with daily living activities for veterans who now need care at home from someone who truly knows where they’re coming from.

What is Veteran Caregiver Program?

Veteran Caregiver Program is care provided to a veteran for an illness or injury related to military services. This care is referred to as “service connected”. Service-connected care is provided through The Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs (CHAMPVA), which is a comprehensive health care program in which the U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affairs (VA) shares the cost of covered health care services and supplies with eligible beneficiaries. Services are provided directly from a VA facility or by a community provider on behalf of VA. Typically, these services are provided free of charge.

VA Benefits for the US Veterans in New York - True Care

The VA provides assistance for veterans in need of home care. Services are provided directly from a VA facility or by a community provider on behalf of VA. Typically, these services are provided free of charge.

Eligibility is dependent upon the veteran receiving a pension, and whether or not they are bed bound, blind, in a nursing home, or need another person to help them perform daily activities such as bathing, feeding, and dressing.

The VA Aid and Attendance or Housebound Benefits Program provides monthly payments added to the amount of a monthly VA pension for qualified veterans and survivors. If veterans are homebound or need help with daily activities, they can apply for this benefit.

Veterans can also access benefits by taking loans from the VA upon approval of the Aid and Attendance benefit.

    What if I don't have Medicaid? Am I still eligible for services?

    Don’t worry, you’re likely eligible even if you don’t think you are. We can assist you in the entire enrollment process, our dedicated Medicaid enrollment consultants are experts in their field and will take care of the entire process for you!

    I only have Medicare. Which services do I qualify for?

    If you have only Medicare, you may qualify for short-term HHA services if you also qualify for certain skilled services, such as OT, PT, RN visits, etc. Contact us to find out more!
