What You'll Do

Assist our clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to: light housekeeping, bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, exercising, transferring with or without mechanical lifting devices, oral feeding, laundry, meal preparing, and errand running.

Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following standards and procedures, keeping with strict observance of the plan of care. Regularly communicate with the True Care staff and nursing supervisors.

Provide the highest standard of care to our clients and their families with compassion and integrity, while adapting to different cultures and environments.

Record and monitor client's health and condition, notifying True Care staff immediately when observing unusual conditions.

How can I check if my HHA certificate is still valid?

If you have not been working for over 2 years or more, then your HHA certificate is no longer valid.

Do you offer HHA certifications courses?

Yes! We have a certification program we offer to people interested in becoming a Home Health Aide. Classes are always ongoing, with many location options in the five boroughs. Let us know if you’re interested and we will be in touch with our next training date. HHA Certification

How long is the HHA training?

It takes approximately 3 weeks if you are taking a course in English. If you are taking a course in Spanish, it can take anywhere from 4 to 5 weeks. Keep in mind that you cannot be absent for any of the training days.
