Bathing
Some clients require help to take their regular showers or baths. That’s where True Care’s Caregivers/Home Health Aides can help. When you’re not able to bathe yourself, you can rely on your Caregiver to help you. They can assist with either a sponge bath or in the shower or bathtub to keep you clean and comfortable with dignity and respect.
Grooming And Toileting Assistance
Using the bathroom is one of life’s most basic needs, and most of us assume we’ll never need help to do it. Sometimes, though, we have to rely on others to help us out. If you need help using the restroom or performing basic grooming tasks like brushing your hair or teeth, True Care’s Caregivers will happily assist you with dignity and respect.
Feeding
True Care’s Caregivers/Home Health Aides are standing by to help you during mealtimes. If you’re unable to use utensils yourself, allow your Caregiver to assist you with eating. They’ll keep you company and make sure you get enough to eat at any time of day.
Assist with Medication
Keeping track of medication regimens can be challenging. If you struggle to keep up with your meds, let your Caregiver/Home Health Aide help! They can help you keep track of your meds, document when you’ve taken them, and remind you when it’s time for your next dose.
Assist with Skin Care
For those who are bedbound, sores and other skin conditions can become a problem, fast. With your True Care Caregiver/Home Health Aide, you’ll be well taken care of by an attentive Caregiver who will proactively change your bedding, make sure you move as much as possible, and monitor your skin for any developing conditions.
Meal Preparation
Three times a day, your Caregiver/Home Health Aide can assist you with putting together healthy and delicious meals. We listen to your preferences and try our best to provide you with food options that satisfy your taste buds while ensuring you get all the nutrients you need. Light Housekeeping
When you’re recovering from an illness or injury, chores can quickly get away from you. That’s where True Care can help. Your Caregiver/Home Health Aide will be more than happy to help you with dishes, tidying, and other light housekeeping tasks as needed. That way, you can rest up in a clean, safe environment.
Laundry
The last thing you need to worry about while you’re receiving home care is lugging laundry around, or up and down stairs, or to the laundromat. True Care Caregivers/Home Health Aides will assist you with making sure your laundry doesn’t pile up so you always have fresh, clean clothes.
Grocery Shopping
Keep your fridge and pantry stocked with healthy and delicious food! True Care Caregivers/Home Health Aides will go out and grocery shop for you when you’re not able to do so for yourself. They can help you make a list, go to the store, and put away your groceries once they’re inside. Or, they can assist you to the grocery store and help with your shopping needs.
Errands
Need to run to the bank but can’t leave bed? Have to mail something at the post office but need to stay home and rest? Let your Caregiver/Home Health Aide help you carry out those pesky tasks that come up day to day. They’ll help you complete basic errands if you’re unable to complete them yourself, or assist you in your travels if you’re able and want to run the errands together.
Companionship
With True Care Companion Care, a Caregiver is around to listen when you’re upset, cheer for you when celebrating your successes, and laugh with you at the little things.
Operate Hoyer Lift
A Hoyer lift is an assistive device used to help people with mobility limitations move from place to place. For example, a Hoyer Lift may be used to help you get from the bed to a chair or another room in your home. True Care Caregivers/Home Health Aides are trained to safely and efficiently use Hoyer Lifts to help you move to where you need to be.
Transport
True Care Caregivers/Home Health Aides will accompany you wherever it is you’re going. Whether it’s on public transportation or in your own vehicle, your Caregiver is there to take the journey with you.
Doctors Appointments
If you’re juggling multiple appointments across different teams of doctors, it can be easy to lose track or forget when you need to be there. A True Care Caregiver/Home Health Aide can help keep you on schedule.
Take Temperature and Blood Pressure
Taking your vital signs like temperature and blood pressure is a critical part of many clients’ daily lives while managing chronic conditions and other illnesses. True Care HHAs are trained in taking vital signs and will help you remember to take them regularly as called for by your medical team.
Turning and Positioning
If you have highly limited mobility, you may need help turning and positioning your body in ways that are useful or more comfortable. Your True Care Caregiver/Home Health Aide can help you get settled in your bed, living room, or other areas of the home. They’ll keep track of your movements to make sure you don’t stay in one place for too long, causing discomfort or increasing your risk of developing sores and other skin conditions as a result of limited mobility.
Empty and Change Catheter bags
If you rely on catheters and catheter bags to empty your bladder, your Caregiver/Home Health Aide can help make this at-times unpleasant task as easy as possible. Your Caregiver is trained to assist you with emptying and changing your catheter bag discreetly and quickly so you can get back to living your life.
Transferring
Sometimes clients need assistance moving out of bed, between rooms of the house, or outside. Our Caregivers/Home Health Aides are ready to assist you in moving safely throughout your home for comfort, enjoyment, or to complete household tasks.
